The 14th generation 1U successor, built for first and second generation Xeon Scalable processors. Newer instruction sets, DDR4 2666 support, and NVMe backplane options make it meaningfully faster per watt than a R730. The 1U chassis means small high speed fans, so it is significantly louder than a 2U at the same load.
Across 166 listings tracked in the last three days, the median total cost in USD including shipping is $628, and the lowest is $250. RackSniper flags a listing once it falls at or below 70 percent of the trailing 30 day median, which for this product means roughly $440 or less. Condition and configuration vary widely on used enterprise hardware, so treat the median as a reference point rather than a target.
